Sixth International Conference Patras Greece

Cognitive Analytic Therapy in practice:

A relational approach to mental health

25th-27th September 2015  Porto Rio Hotel, Patras,  Greece

Jointly hosted by ICATA and HellasCAT

At the sixth international CAT conference we celebrated CAT and helped to further develop CAT in many countries.  We explored the variety of applications of CAT in relational approaches to mental health whether through individual, group, team or contextual work.

The hotel offered a creative and delightful setting with its own beach and two swimming pools, one of which adjoins the conference centre and we enjoyed fantastic views across the Gulf of Corinth to the mountains of Northern Greece.

Some delegates arrived on the Thursday evening and took advantage of several pre-conference workshops which offered the opportunity to share and explore a particular CAT topic at length and in detail prior the formal start of the conference programme on the Friday evening. On Friday we had a wonderful reception for all delegates and a conference dinner.   There were workshops and presentations throughout Saturday and Sunday with a Gala dinner on the Saturday evening with traditional Greek food and music.   Some participants stayed for the Sunday evening and took part in additional informal discussions and a meal at a local restaurant.
